Veterinary Nurse - Quarrington, Lincolnshire

Medivet have an opportunity for a veterinary nurse to join the team at our practice in Quarrington, Lincolnshire.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week over five days with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends but we're open to being flexible where we can so get in touch and let us know what works for you.

Quarringtonis a well-established practice with an excellent client base and experienced team. Purpose-built, with five consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards and lovely operating theatresequipped with the latest technology (including ECG, In-house laboratory, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dentistry equipment and ultrasound) we are working towards it becoming Medivet's dedicated 24-hour centre for the region. The practice sees a busy and varied caseload and is a training practice for nurses and vets training on our Graduate Support Programme.

Role Accountabilities:

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
