Salary: Up to £40 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary/Contract
Bristol Children’s Services is looking for a dedicated and experienced Qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Collaboration: Work within a small, supportive unit comprised of a Team Manager, three Social Workers, a Family Support Worker, and an Assistant. Build strong relationships with team members to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to safeguarding.
Direct Work with Families: Use a strengths-based approach and systemic principles to engage with families, focusing on their needs and empowering them towards positive outcomes.

Requirements:
Qualification: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding, and familiarity with assessments under S17 and S47.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with families.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures, with experience in court-related work being advantageous.
Driver Requirement: A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
What We Offer:
Competitive Pay: Earn up to £40 per hour.
Supportive Environment: Join a collaborative team with good management support, where you can engage in joint working and share best practices.
Vibrant Community: Work in a diverse and lively city, with access to good Early Intervention Services and support from local voluntary agencies.
Professional Development: Opportunities for continuous learning and growth in your social work career.
