Guaranteed annual salary of £29,000, made up with a guaranteed monthly bonus of £500 (minimum) and a base salary of £23,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package, staff incentives, full training, and financing for your CeMAP qualification. Trainee Mortgage Advisor Overview: The primary role of a Mortgage Broker is to market the company and actively establish a network of mortgage brokers and independent financial advisors, from which customer referrals are generated. To raise the profile of the firm and contribute to the development and growth of the company. Trainee Mortgage Advisor Main Duties:

  • The development of new business, via methods such as canvassing, outbound, and inbound telemarketing.
  • Build up a broker database and maintain good relationships accordingly.
  • To maintain a competent level of understanding of mainstream lender’s underwriting policies and procedures.
  • Sales processing and accurate data entry.
  • Submission of timely and accurate application packs.
  • Adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • To assist the Specialist Mortgage Advisor at the applicable stages of the sales process.
  • To pay high regard to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations including Treating Customers Fairly Principles.
  • Encourage and maintain a high level of customer service and excellence.
  • To pay particular attention to ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • To always behave in a positive and professional manner when representing the company.
  • General housekeeping duties, ensuring the office is kept tidy.
  • To follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as requested by your Manager.
Trainee Mortgage Advisor Personal Duties:
  • To always display Company core values.
  • To actively keep updated with the company’s services.
  • To develop yourself by, where necessary, attending courses, meetings, training events, workshops, and seminars, to not only develop yourself but also the company.
  • To demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • To be highly self-motivated and organised.
  • To ensure effective customer care skills.
  • To make informed decisions whilst being aware of the consequences.
  • A recognition and regard for observing confidentiality.
  • The capacity to work as part of a team.
  • 10An ability to work on own initiative and meet set timescales.
Trainee Mortgage Advisor Experience:
  • Sales experience in a busy office environment.
  • Outbound sales experience.
  • Account management.
  • IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office and the Internet
