Seeking a well organised and self-motivated person interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This role is responsible for leading the Production Department to efficiently manufacture budgeted amount of products while meeting safety, environmental, and quality objectives. Sims Ltd is a global company working to create a world without waste to preserve our planet, with offices and sites in the USA, Australia, Europe and the UK.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
Manage the plant's Production function
Ensure that the plant produces the required quantity of quality material
Direct the effective and efficient use of plant production equipment and people
Planning, annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, reporting of department's effectiveness
Inventory tracking of incoming and outgoing material
Assist plant management in anticipating future needs of the plant
Maintains product quality to meet customer expectations
Meet or exceed production volumes budget
Production costs equal or below budget
Equipment performance and reliability exceeds budget
Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
Excellent production planning abilities
Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field i.e. science, engineering
IT literate to include Microsoft Office
Excellent understanding of industrial equipment and processes, especially material handling
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
