The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is fundamental toour operations – they’re the ones keeping vital machinery running at alltimes. Our RME Techniciansboost the availability and quality of our equipment and work to enhance theoperational environment too.Key job responsibilities- Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of siteequipment- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distributionwarehouse
Uphold all health and safety policies and practices
Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across
You’ll also makesuggestions for long-term improvements.Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenancetasks like painting and plumbing and will liaise with contractors if you needexternal expertise. You’ll work on a range of shifts to make sure our sitesare supported around the clock – allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we’reknown for.About the teamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipmentperforming at its best. We work together to maintain,troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilmentcentres. Some of our people are leaders, who oversee the team as they work onexciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon.From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the generalmaintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our teamhandles most aspects of Amazon’s technical side. We often work during early orlate hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including nightshifts. If we spot a better way to do something, we have the skills and theopportunity to develop and introduce completely new processes or cutting-edgetech like Amazon Robotics and our Complex Item Sorter. ### NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline oranother practical engineering qualification
Relevant experience working in mechanical andor electrical maintenance
Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
### Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.Experience in condition-based monitoring
Experience working with print and apply machines
Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
