The Tapestry UK office hosts a small team of Project Managers, Functional Analysts, System Analysts and Software Engineers undertaking software implementation projects in the UK and mainland Europe along with providing sustainment support to systems in live operation in these countries. This post is a senior PM role leading complex software implementation projects in the UK and Europe and is highly customer-facing. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of software implementation and software upgrade projects for multiple external clients. You will lead the Tapestry technical team, ensuring that you evaluate and obtain the resources needed from both the UK and broader Tapestry to deliver the projects, appreciating that all staff are likely to have other responsibilities alongside your projects. You will be responsible for planning and managing the tasks needed to execute the program and managing the project costs and invoicing. You will need to understand and manage risk, anticipate problems and priorities activities and problem solve on a daily basis to make sure that projects are delivered on schedule and to budget supporting the technical team and seeking management support when needed.

Develops and manages multiple, complex information technology (IT) project plans and deliverables.
Provides input to determine complex project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle.
Negotiates changes to project baselines.
Manages the incorporation of quality management systems for IT projects.
Monitors project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals.
Develops and executes project communication plans.
Leads activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
At least 8 years prior experience of Project Management is required and must include experience of delivering complex IT and Software projects.
The basic project management disciplines of planning, tasking, documentation, financial management and monitoring and controlling delivery should be second nature to you.
You will be an instinctive problem solver with highly developed risk management and mitigation skills
This will typically include degree level education or equivalent, and a specific project management qualification or accreditation.
