The Discover Me platform recruits the wider public, accessing health records and creating genetic data to enable discovery and participation in precision medicine clinical trials. As we rapidly scale, recruiting thousands of participants each month to our research platform, Discover Me, we need a Head of Research to lead the next stage of our expansion into new global regions.

We offer a competitive salary and flexible working. This is a full-time post requiring at least two days at our Cambridge, UK, office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set the strategy for the Research function
  • Take responsibility to grow and scale participation in the Discover Me platform
  • Deliver the implementation of the Discover Me research studies across global regions
  • Lead and manage the Research function personnel for the Discover Me platform
  • Champion implementation of innovative and efficient methods and processes within the Research function and gain stakeholder support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts in Product & Technology, Information Security & Governance, Commercial Development, and Quality, Learning and Development
  • Contribute to due diligence assessments of third party service providers and respond to due diligence requests from external organisations
  • Ensure the Research Function maintains compliance and quality standards
  • Provide leadership to build, develop and foster the Research team, ensuring the development of talent and skills

Skills and experience

  • You bring solid experience within the pharmaceutical industry, biotech, health care or academia relating to population health or clinical research
  • Proven experience in building large scale clinical and/or real world research programmes
  • Educated to post-graduate degree level with specialised professional knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A great collaborator working across the company
  • Strong GCP quality and compliance experience in biotech/pharma
