We are at an incredibly exciting moment in our journey to become the UK’s most loved care homes – filling later life and care careers with joy, community and kindness. We’re seeking an outstanding Quality and Compliance Lead to build on our reputation for excellent care. In this vital leadership role, you will be at the forefront of driving a culture of excellence and individualised care. You’ll work collaboratively with the Clinical Leadership Team to meet compliance on all regulatory and mandated matters including Care Quality Commission (CQC), safeguarding, mental capacity, data protection, health and safety, employment legislation (including discrimination) and other regulations as introduced.

If you’d like to be part of a team determined to do our very best for our residents, staff, and our charity owners, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview

The Quality and Compliance Lead will be pivotal in driving excellence across our homes. You will oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements, facilitate continuous quality improvement, and support home managers in achieving outstanding inspection outcomes. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for ensuring the highest levels of care and operational efficiency.

  2. Quality Assurance:
    1. Lead the development, implementation, and review of quality improvement initiatives.
    2. Finalise and roll-out our new Clinical Governance Framework and service review processes.
    3. Conduct regular audits across homes to assess care quality, safety, and operational standards.
    4. Provide feedback and guidance to managers to promote best practices.
  3. Training and Development:
    1. Deliver training to staff and managers on clinical, compliance and quality improvement processes.
    2. Develop resources and tools to support homes in meeting quality objectives.
    3. Identify and mitigate risks to service delivery, ensuring robust risk assessments are in place.
    4. Investigate incidents and complaints, identifying lessons learned and implementing preventive measures.
  4. Safeguarding:
    1. Ensure robust safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to across all homes, fostering a culture of safety and vigilance.
    2. Lead investigations into safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely reporting to the appropriate authorities and resolution in line with regulatory guidelines.
    3. Deliver safeguarding training to staff at all levels, promoting awareness and understanding of responsibilities to protect residents from harm and abuse.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Work closely with home managers, senior leadership, and external partners to drive quality outcomes.
    2. Provide regular reports to the leadership team, highlighting trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  6. Policy and Procedure Development:
    1. Oversee the review and implementation of company policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes.
    2. Ensure consistent application of policies across all homes.
  7. Strategic Projects and Care Innovation:
    1. Play a key role in developing and driving new care approaches at Elizabeth Finn Homes, including our dementia offering and the use of technology and innovation in our care provision.
