Quality and Compliance Engineer/Manager My client is a manufacturer of electrical and electronic components and supply their products worldwide. This role is working from their head office based in Hatfield, Herts and they are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in testing electrical and electronic components and manage worldwide quality accreditations for Europe, Australia, Asia and the UK for their existing products and new products. The role responsibilities will include:-

  • Working closely with the factories to advise on the quality requirements for each product
  • Testing the products to ensure they are compliant with the relevant quality accreditation requirements and comply with each country/continents quality regulations
  • Keeping up to date with the requirements for each body in each country
  • Test and Evaluation and approval of new products to ensure the required standard of quality and compliance
  • Evaluation/audit of new and existing sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality are achieved.
  • Ensuring the company’s products meets the required British, European and International Standards, and National wiring regulations.
  • Liaising with third-party accreditation bodies such as UL, ESV, Dekra, CQC, TUV and VDE.
  • Undertaking product assessments and comparisons with competitor products, including the production of technical and comparative reports.
  • Review, evaluation and reporting on customer product quality or application issues
  • Maintaining the company’s compliance and accreditation with ISO 9001:2015
