for a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join our esteemed Italian restaurant in the heart of London. Renowned for its authentic Italian cuisine and vibrant ambiance, this restaurant is a cherished culinary destination in the city. About the Role: As the Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the kitchen operations and upholding the restaurant's commitment to excellence in food quality and service. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will contribute to the creation of delectable Italian dishes that captivate the palates of our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and advance your career in a dynamic and inspiring environment. Key Highlights: Closed on Christmas and New Years Early Close (4PM on Sundays) Training Masterclasses from renowned executive chef Supplier Trips Career Development Key Responsibilities: Assist in leading and supervising the kitchen team, including training, scheduling, and mentoring staff members. Contribute to the development and execution of creative and seasonal menus that reflect the essence of Italian cuisine. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in the kitchen area. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to minimize waste and ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with management to implement strategies for enhancing food quality, service, and profitability. Participate in the coordination of special events and catering activities as required. Requirements: Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior position in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with expertise in Italian cuisine. Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and inspire a team of culinary professionals. Thorough understanding of Italian ingredients, cooking techniques, and culinary traditions. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and a steadfast commitment to culinary excellence. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
