SEN Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate Start, Full Time

“Join GSL Education Kent as a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant. GSL Education Kent are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Tonbridge. Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, promoting a love for learning, and contributing to the overall academic development of students in diverse subjects.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners and have expertise working with students who have Special Educational Needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be to:

Collaborate with the class teacher to plan, supervise, and execute engaging and creative lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles.
Facilitate small group interventions to provide targeted support and reinforce learning objectives.
Implement strategies to support students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education.
Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
