Our client, a leader in retail property, is seeking a Corporate Communications and Internal Communications Manager on a maternity cover basis for 12-months, paying £70k - £80k per annum.
This role would suit a senior corporate communications professional with experience of managing small teams (this has four direct reports). This is a broad communications position so the hiring manager is looking for someone with both internal and external experience, ideally covering crisis communications as well. Reporting into the CMO, there would be an expectation for the successful candidate to work both strategically and also tactically, working very closely with the CEO and SLT, as well as creating the content and crafting key messaging where needed. With that in mind, exceptional stakeholder management skills writing expertise are required.
This is a maternity cover contract with three days per week in the central London office. Drive the Corporate Communications strategy. Lead B2B activity for the company at Group-level, producing press releases and other relevant Corporate PR material.
Manage a team to implement the Internal Communications strategy. Ensure the flow of news through the company’s intranet. Alongside the Group Strategy team, lead the planning and execution of key internal events (virtual and in-person) for both the company’s Leadership Team and global employees.
Lead the management of crisis communication issues. Manage external agencies and brief regional communications teams on all corporate PR and crisis management issues and follow the relevant approval process for any communications drafted.
Responsible for all communication related to trade events. Plan and ensure timely preparation and approval of necessary assets (for example, videos, key messages, press releases, brochures).
Work alongside HR to demonstrate Inclusion, Equity and Diversity via calendar of captivating communications, campaigns and events.
Ensure the regular updates of the corporate website.
Develop and maintain relationships with retail media on an international level ensuring top quality industry coverage, in particular around key moments during the year.
Significant experience in corporate PR and B2B Communications for a large Pan-European or International Company. Very strong writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential.
Excellent organisation and planning skills. A track record in delivering effective internal communications campaigns and content.
Past experience in planning and delivering large-scale events is preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to develop rapport, trust and great working relationships with colleagues in a fast-paced, multicultural, multinational work environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint.
