Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects in Barnoldswick and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction management, strong leadership skills, and experience in civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project goals, requirements, and expectations.
• Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments, to senior management and clients.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process, employing effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve project management processes and techniques.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is required.
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a knowledge in the civil engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
