Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days)and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.
We are looking for engineers to join the Global Storage Engineering team with a strong focus on Ceph. In this role, you would be engineering and deploying the latest storage technologies to enable object, block, and file workloads for our internal applications and private cloud. If you have strong dev/ops skills, love to solve complex and challenging problems, and want to participate in some of the most exciting open-source projects, we want to hear from you

We are looking for engineers to join the Global Storage Engineering team. In this role you would be engineering and deploying the latest storage technologies to enable object, block, and file workloads for our internal applications and private cloud. Help GoDaddy engineer, deploy, and maintain the next generation of storage technologies to support our applications and private cloud
Participate in agile concepts such as daily stand-up meetings, task tracking boards, design and code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration and deployment
Work closely with internal teams on cross-functional projects to ensure that their assets are delivered quickly and with the highest quality
Experience with modern configuration management / Infrastructure as code systems (Salt, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform)
~4+ years experience in Linux administration skills and understanding of system performance areas (memory, swap, disk, i/o, network i/o, etc.)
~ Programming proficiency in high level languages such as Python
BS or Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
