Who are we looking for?

The City of Leicester College is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Religious Studies from August 2024 with applications welcome from teachers at all stages of their career, including ECTs and the more experienced.

This is an exciting time to be joining The City of Leicester College. Religious Studies is highly valued in the school and has generous curriculum time and a large department of subject specialists. Religious Studies is a core subject at GCSE and was a popular A level option this year. The team is a cohesive unit and is looking for someone who is creative and ambitious. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach the full range of ages and qualifications. It is important we get the right teacher who shares our belief that our students deserve the very best. Therefore, the successful candidate will:

  • have a clear understanding of pedagogical knowledge in the teaching of religious studies

 The City of Leicester College is a thriving multi-cultural 11-19 college, with 1750+ students on roll, which includes a highly successful sixth form of 350+. Whilst we are the largest school in the city, we maintain a distinct identity and prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff and students alike.
