If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Research Support Officer to join our client, a Higher Education establishment in London. This is a full-time role with an immediate start for a two-month contract with the possibility of an extension. This role is hybrid with two days on campus and three based at home. There is a requirement to be on campus on Tuesdays and some flexibility may be required to assist with events and functions. The Research Support Office will work with researchers in the team providing general administrative support, including minute-taking, processing orders and expense forms. Duties will also include working on research applications, pre and post-award documents and assisted-funded enquires. In addition, working on events to include associated organisation of venue, catering, and register taking.

Research Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties to support and help a busy team with a current high workload
  • Secretarial responsibilities include scheduling meetings, circulating documents, and taking minutes. ordering and procurement
  • Carry out HR administrative duties – working with contract requests
  • Research application support to help academics and research staff apply for funding. Using grant management system and manage research-related communications and data
  • Confidently work with data to compile peer review data on research publications
  • Organise events including Faculty Away Days, Student Away Days and Induction Sessions. Will include arranging travel, accommodation, catering and scheduling speakers

Research Support Officer Key Skills:

  • A strong level of organisation and time management
  • A good understanding of and experience in research funding application support, both pre and post-award
  • Strong IT skills – confident working with new software packages including WorkTribe
