We're looking for a Works Manager to join our KierBam JV team based in Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. 

KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall. We are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Senior Works Manager .

 

Location : Plymouth, Devon

Contract : Permanent, Full Time

 

Responsibilities

As a Works Manager, you'll be working within the Nuclear Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering the redevelopment project at Devonport Dockyard Naval Base

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring site works are planned, coordinated, and undertaken in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans, design drawings, specification, and the programme.
  • Controlling the short and medium-term programmes to ensure timely and economical completion. 
  • Supporting the Project Manager/Agent in defining the efficient and effective planning of the works (methodology) and plant and labour resources.
  • Supporting the General Foreman to work safely in accordance with assessed construction risks and adherence with the control measures defined in Work Package Plans and Task Briefs.
  • Managing the General Foreman, Foreman, Site Supervisors, and other assigned resources

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Works Manager   is great for you if:

  • HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
  • Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
