Spectrum's retained client is a VC-backed, (commercially) early-stage AI venture serving a defined segment of the global enterprise (B2B) market with a platform-based approach to training data for AI models.

This is a huge and fast-growing global market. Our client has a head start. But it's a nascent market; in its infancy.

We are seeking a CEO to lead this 35-person/$7m USD funded, UK-headquartered, business successfully through to a favourable Series A event in Q1 2026.

The business therefore has a 15-18 month runway at the current burn rate to commercially scale-up aggressively, and to structure the business to enable a successful Series A. The key components are likely to be:

  • Building a proven, repeatable sales and marketing model for the global enterprise market
  • Growing its list of tier-one enterprise clients and building a SaaS proposition for tier-two customers
  • Developing a clear business plan
  • Maintaining technology/product leadership
  • Filling any gaps in the leadership team

Suitable candidates will therefore:

  • Be experienced at CEO level
  • Well-rounded functionally, with a strong commercial/sales & marketing/GTM (incl. channel) skillset and focus
  • Enterprise software / B2B SaaS experience
  • AI/big data/computer vision experience
  • Suited to the commercial scale-up stage of the company lifecycle
  • Inclusive, collaborative, politics-free leader of experienced, high-skill teams
  • UK-based with the ability to travel internationally at regular intervals

This role offers the opportunity to lead an established, experienced team in a fast-growing and huge global market - in which our client is well positioned. The compensation package includes stock options.
