We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join what is a dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical support to internal staff. This is a hybrid working role that will involve 3/4 days onsite working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to internal staff, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members or third-party vendors when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of office IT infrastructure, including network equipment, servers, and telecommunications systems.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and security enhancements.
- Assist with user account management, including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts as per company policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and tools.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our IT infrastructure and services.
Proven experience in a similar role providing IT support in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems. Good network management skills. Understanding of CRM systems. Exposure to telephony technology and an ability to support e.g. Dialler/ICR/IVR systems. Conversant with Disaster Recovery/backup solutions. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and cloud-based productivity tools.
