Commissioning Technician - Ireland

Turner Lovell is recruiting experienced Commissioning Technicians to work on an onshore HV substation project. Ideally people with excellent working knowledge & track records of commissioning large energy transmission equipment and protection systems on projects (132kV, 275kV & 400kV substation) throughout the UK, and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of renewable energy infrastructure projects, secure stability on long-term projects and work with a world class, international team to deliver complex engineering and construction solutions.
The commissioning of complex protection and control schemes including the following: LV, MV Commissioning, Siprotec, Feeders, Isolators, Fault Throwers, CTs, VTs, Differential Relays, Distance Relays, Overcurrent Relays, Earth Fault Relays, Inter-Tripping Scheme, Delayed Auto-Reclose.

To commission components, solutions and systems on large energy projects as a Commissioning Technician
Ensure all commissioning planning, reporting and documenting activities are completed to time, cost and quality as part of the team
To perform / support test engineering duties (admittances, routine, and type tests - including determination & specification support)
To uphold a strong knowledge of industry and regulatory standards (e.g. Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent (Wiring Regs/chartered engineering status preferable)
~3+ years of experience as a Commissioning Technician on UK or EU energy projects
~ CCNSG / Safety Passport, First-aid (3-day), Manual Handling, CSCS Card
~ Strong engineering knowledge & understanding - engineering mathematics, engineering drawings, etc.
~ To have worked productively & efficiently to strict project timescales and schedules.

~ EirGrid or ESB Network experience
