Job Description – Graduate History Teaching Assistant
Support History across KS3, KS4 & KS5
State-of-the-art Academy School – 450 pupils 11-16 years
History graduate needed – 1st and 2.Planned teacher training from September 2025
As a Graduate History Teaching Assistant – earn £475 to £520 per week
Social working hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3.Interviewing now for a September 2024 start
Beginning in September of 2024, this school is looking for passionate history graduates to step into the role of Graduate History Teaching Assistant, aiming to provide the best quality education and support to their students.
Whilst experience of working with children is beneficial, it is not essential. If you have in-depth subject knowledge, confidence and the charisma to fit into a thriving department, you will have the ability to help inspire students who are keen to learn.
This school is lucky to boast a thriving History department, that aims to enrich their students in the curriculum with consistent immersive trips out. As a Graduate History Teaching Assistant, you will engage in these experiences as just one part of the vast opportunities this school can offer you.
You will work alongside a dedicated History lead and team of teachers as they expand their history department to make way for a new cohort of students in their ever-expanding school.
For a Graduate History Teaching Assistant who is looking at potentially stepping into teaching, you will learn crucial pedagogy over the academic year that will equip you to begin teacher training feeling confident and comfortable.
