Legionella Scientist

Do you have experience with legionella water filtration analysis. Are you comfortable working in compliance with ISO 17025 / UKAS standards? We are currently offering opportunity for a scientist to join a microbiology laboratory in the East Midlands.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

The Role

As a scientist within the microbiology testing team, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting water filtration analysis to provide validation assistance,
• Adhering to ISO 17025 / UKAS guidelines,
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety protocols,
• Accurate maintenance of lab records & results.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Demonstrated ability to work aseptically and maintain a sterile environment (essential)
• Existing UK work eligibility (essential)
• Previously worked in ISO 17025 / UKAS-accredited lab (desirable)
• Prior experience performing water filtration analysis for bacterial species including: (e.g., E. coli, coliforms, pseudomonas, enterococci) (desirable)
