DESCRIPTION

St. Mary’s Catholic School has an opening for a full time faithful, engaging, and effective Preschool Teacher. Working on a team, the successful candidate is an educational and spiritual leader who encourages excellence in all students. Teachers are responsible for the development and implementation of curricular goals and objectives to fulfill desired student learning outcomes in accordance with prescribed and selected academic standards. This position is also responsible for teaching, mentoring, and modeling the Catholic faith.

St. Mary’s Catholic School is a strong PreK - 8 Catholic school focused on faith, academics, and family. The school has served Worthington and surrounding communities for nearly 75 years. There are exciting new projects underway to connect student learning with the real-world. The school is a mission of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and therefore maintains a strong relationship with the parish and the parishioners. Active parent involvement creates and supports a strong community base for the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • Be willing to support and uphold the teaching of the Catholic faith
  • Experience and/or training in early childhood education preferred

Demonstrates:

  • ability to effectively and collegially work with others
  • ability to make decisions
  • ability to work without supervision
  • ability to learn and implement new educational strategies
  • ability to manage and maintain a classroom of students effectively
  • ability to keep supervisor and others appropriately informed
  • Pass required background check.
  • Complete VIRTUS training.
