The Quality and Risk Management Team(QRM) provides leadership, guidance, and tools to help partners andstaff manage quality and risk matters. The team is comprised of anAdvisory and Compliance Team, a Chief Information Security OfficeTeam, an Economic Crime Team, a Legal Team including a Commercial &Contracts Team, plus the Quality Monitoring Team. We'll help you succeed

You'll be someonewho is both comfortable working proactively and managing your owntasks, as well as confident collaborating with others andcommunicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO'spartners to help businesses effectively. You'll be encouraged toidentify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing ourdelivery and providing additional services to organisations we workwith.
International Standard of Quality Management (UK) 1(ISQM1) requires BDO LLP to design and implement a system of qualitymanagement to ensure that the Firm and our personnel fulfilresponsibilities in accordance with professional standards and otherrequirements and that reports issued are appropriate in thecircumstances. ISQM1 also requires ongoing monitoring and an annualevaluation of the system of quality management under a reasonableassurance framework.
ISQM1 was implemented as at 15December 2022 and evaluated for the first time during 2023, and BDOcontinues to work on the enhancement of its system of qualitymanagement to support its desire to improve and sustain audit qualityand drive a consistent quality standard across all areas of assurancework.
BDO is looking for a lead Director to takeresponsibility for the ongoing leadership and development of thesystem of quality management under ISQM1. The Director will work closely with the twopartners who lead the team, the Monitoring and Remediation Committeeand the Committees with ultimate and operational responsibility forthe firm's system of quality management. There may be scope in the future to expandthis role to contribute to the design and implementation of a systemof quality management across the whole firm.
Develop, implement, and direct the monitoring ofthe firm's system of quality management including developingappropriate KPIs and reporting to the firm's leadership;
Work with relevant senior stakeholdersand partners to remediate any gaps identified in the firm's system ofquality management including from regulator inspection findings,internal testing and business changes;
Prepare the annualmonitoring report to provide information for the overall evaluation ofthe firm's system of quality management;
Work with the firm's regulators, the FRC, to respond toinformation requests on the system of quality management.

A strategicthinker with excellent communication and influencing sills who isconfident to engage with a variety of senior stakeholders;
Experience of working in a large professional services firmand an understanding of the regulatory environment;
Strong networking skills and ability to developstrong rapports with key stakeholders;
An individual that can drive creative thinking and connectideas and insights from other projects in the quality initiatives aswell as role model resilience and maintain a calm demeanour when underpressure;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing,rapid-growth environment with multiple projects and tasks;
Ability to proactively apply your skills to a broad range ofcomponents of a system of quality management to see the macroposition;
Collaborating: The ability to build relationships across the firm and gain theconfidence of Partners and other senior staff.
Drive the implementation of agreed solutions andpreventative measures in function and firm wide as appropriate.
