QC Microbiologist

CY PARTNERS have an exciting new role with a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry. They are currently seeking a QC Microbiologist to join their dynamic team, while the role is Microbiology focused it will also offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop analytical chemistry skills. Location: Berkshire, Contract Role Role Responsibilities: Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications. Execute environmental monitoring activities in manufacturing areas to maintain a controlled and sterile production environment. Conduct microbial identifications and support investigations related to out-of-specification results or deviations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide microbiological expertise for the development and optimization of manufacturing processes. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to microbiological testing and environmental monitoring. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of results. Develop your skills in method validation and verification studies for microbiological assays. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field. Proven experience working as a microbiologist in a pharmaceutical or related industry. Understanding of cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements related to microbiological testing. Hands-on experience with microbial identification techniques. Familiarity with microbiological assay validation and verification. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data analysis. Knowledge of Aseptic technique.
