Indirect Category Manager

Preston Lancashire, United Kingdom Baxi Heating UK Limited Full time

They will work to support all sites across the Group, to drive supplier performance improvement from Group Suppliers. This will involve managing the relationships with Group Suppliers on behalf of BDR Thermea, as well as drive cost down and identify performance improvement.
There will also be the opportunity to set in place supplier strategies and group policies in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Build performance metrics, and own performance against key cost, sustainability and performance related KPI’s
Contributing to Commodity sourcing strategies and ensures alignment with procurement policy and procedures.
Establishes local service level agreements with end users, in conjunction with the procurement manager.
Ensures adherence to, and staff understanding of, purchasing policies and procedures to ensure standards are upheld.
Suggests and works with the procurement leadership team to establish, process improvements, contributing to implementation and adherence on-site.
Monitors supplier performance and informs relevant stakeholders about this performance under the guidance of procurement leadership.
Negotiates local or regional contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers.
Advises end users of suitable items of acceptable quality at the most cost-effective prices.
Compiles and submits monthly work reports to senior stakeholders.
Prepares for and applies a range of negotiating tactics to achieve win-win commercial and non-commercial outcomes.
Ensures the organisation and its suppliers enter contracts aware of the relevant deliverables, timescales, costs, risks and other commitments.
Working with data: Proficient in collecting, handling, analysing and presenting various types of data.
