Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the unique needs and abilities of autistic students within a primary school setting.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including special education professionals, therapists, and support staff, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide holistic support for each student.
Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in autism education and incorporate these insights into instructional planning and delivery.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience working with children with autism, preferably within a primary school setting.
In-depth understanding of autism spectrum disorders and proficiency in a range of evidence-based interventions and strategies, including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, and sensory integration techniques.
Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning styles, communication preferences, and sensory needs of autistic students.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the social-emotional well-being and academic success of autistic children and their families.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, with a willingness to continuously enhance knowledge and skills in autism education.
