Our client Bendalls Engineering is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Radiographer to join their team.
The primary responsibility of the Radiographer will be to ensure the integrity and safety of their welded products using advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as X-Ray and Gamma Radiation. You will play a key role in inspecting and analysing welds to identify any discontinuities or defects, ensuring they meet both national standards and our customers' regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate with a team of experienced quality inspectors to support quality control initiatives and contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the quality department.
Carr’s Engineering designs, manufactures, and services bespoke equipment, vessels, precision components and remote handling systems alongside providing specialist engineering services in the Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Pharmaceutical and Renewable industries. Salary: £37k per annum, plus enhanced shift & overtime rates
Performing radiography (x ray / gamma), interpret, and evaluate discontinuities or defects within welds against national and client standards.
* Quality Control.
* Connect with client inspectors to ensure seamless communication, alignment with project requirements, and timely resolution of any related matters.
* To participate in both in-house and external training programs.
* NVQ in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
* PCN Level 2 minimum in Radiography / interpretation
