Join us at our state-of-the-art facility in Saltend Chemicals Park, Hull, where you'll spearhead innovation in biofuel production as our Senior Production Engineer. About the Role: As our Senior Production Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving efficiency, safety, and quality in our world-scale wheat-to-bioethanol & animal feed plant. Your expertise will not only optimize plant performance but also mentor the next generation of engineers, making a lasting impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead short-term targets for safety, throughput, yield, and cost.
Utilize your technical prowess to implement sustainable solutions and mentor operations personnel.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Lead investigations for incidents and champion best practices in safety and compliance.
About You: Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
Over 5 years of experience in large-scale high-hazard plant operations.
Proficiency in Root Cause investigation, Lean principles, and Continuous Improvement.
Strong technical knowledge and experience with automated process control systems.
Personal Attributes:
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and development.
Results-driven with a focus on safety, quality, and commercial success.
Proactive, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
