An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Supervisor (Advanced Storeman) to join a top 5 M&E contractor on the UK’s largest data centre project, based in Waltham Cross. This is a fantastic role for someone with Electrical Stores experience, looking to work on a high-profile project and advance their career within a supportive and growing team. The role offers great progression and the chance to work on the leading edge of data centre development. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Electrical Stores: Oversee all store activities, ensuring that stock is organised, well-maintained, and in line with company standards.
  • Goods In & Out Recording: Process all deliveries, ensuring that incoming goods are checked against purchase orders, recorded accurately in the system, and safely stored.
  • Stock Control & Ordering: Monitor stock levels to maintain sufficient inventory, prevent shortages, and place orders for new materials as required.
  • Computerised Inventory Management: Use inventory software to manage and track stock, generate reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all materials.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all materials received meet quality standards and are handled safely to prevent damage.
  • Equipment Tracking & Distribution: Keep track of tools and materials issued to the site team, maintaining records of equipment usage and return.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all store activities comply with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Stock Audits: Perform regular audits to maintain accurate stock records, reduce waste, and streamline store operations.
Requirements
  • Previous Electrical Stores experience is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software or other computer-based stock control systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with the site team, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and compliance within a store/warehouse environment.
  • Proactive attitude towards maintaining stock levels and store operations.
