Within this part-time role (18.5 WTE), you will have a mix of clinical and non-clinical time that enables you to further your clinical, leadership, education and research skills. Working as part of a larger network, you can collaborate with your clinical specialist colleagues and our quality improvement, clinical audit and research teams to design, lead and complete projects with access to training and mentoring to support your aims. As an innovative and forward-thinking musculoskeletal outpatient service in a diverse community, you will be welcomed into an open, approachable and passionate team comprised of physiotherapists and osteopaths. A broad range of musculoskeletal referrals from GPs and orthopaedic teams, including some paediatric, hands and pelvic health cases.
Working alongside well-established first contact practitioner and orthopaedic triage teams.
Networking with secondary care and academic institutions.

If you are passionate about developing your clinical and professional skills, the capabilities of your team and musculoskeletal services in primary and community care, this is the role for you. You will understand the importance of clinical governance and have experience with audit to guide training needs, design protocols and deliver high quality care across multiple sites. To complement the social aspect of this role and our growing opportunities for funding and research, you will also have excellent interpersonal, presentation and networking skills.

Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
At least 4 years physiotherapy experience post qualification


Previous experience at Band 7 Physiotherapist level


Good computer literacy
Ability to travel to multiple sites / Car driver


Continuous Professional Development
Evidence of comprehensive post graduate training including attendance at recent post graduate/validated courses relevant to the musculo-skeletal field


Physiotherapy related MSc


Previous experience at Band 7 Physiotherapist level Contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants

Good computer literacy

Continuous Professional Development
Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at specialist, formal musculoskeletal postgraduate courses, and informal learning


Previous experience of working collaboratively with other AHP's/Consultants in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines/pathways
Experience of managing a team, including performance management, sickness monitoring, Recruitment, skill mix and staffing rotas
High level of clinical knowledge, experience and skill in musculoskeletal field
