Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

In this role, you’ll pay closeattention to our processes to help maintain our high standards, and you’ll putin place upgrades to take that standard even higher.Key job responsibilities- Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams toensure everyone follows the correct processes- Keep track of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-basedmonitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks and schedule additionalservicing when required- Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as thefirst point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers- Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they canprocess packages as quickly as possible- Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardiseprocesses across the EU networkA day in the lifeIn every shift, you’ll be leading a team to make sure everyone has theequipment they need and that it’s running properly. That involves monitoringprocesses so that regulations and policies are followed and ensuring thatpreventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.With everything you observe on your shifts, you’ll suggest improvements tomake our systems more efficient and productive and then implement thoseimprovements across an EU-wide function. You’ll also be monitoring processeswith tools like Scada to guarantee their performance, as well as workingclosely with your line manager to assist with admin tasks.You’ll work shiftpatterns, which may include some weekends and nights. About the teamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipmentperforming at its best. We work together to maintain,troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilmentcenters. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the generalmaintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our teamhandles most aspects of Amazon’s technical side. We often work during early orlate hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including nightshifts. Served a full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship andor qualified to aminimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City &Guilds Level 3, SVQIVQ)
Relevant experience working in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
environments- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written local language and basicproficiency in English ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a multi-contractor and multi-site working environment
Understanding of PLC based controls systems and statutory compliance
requirements- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems to planproactive maintenance and record reactive tasks- A degree preferably in a technical discipline, operations, or businessadministrationAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
