Head of Business Intelligence – West London - £85,000
Description -
We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Head of Business Intelligence (BI) to join my clients team and lead the BI department. As the Head of BI, you will play a crucial role in harnessing the power of data and analytics to drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership skills to effectively manage the BI team and drive the development and implementation of BI initiatives.
Responsibilities -
Oversee the entire BI function and lead a team of BI professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
Develop and execute the company's BI strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business objectives and contributes to organizational growth.
Identify and assess the company's data needs, and collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize data requirements.
Design and implement data models, data structures, and data visualization solutions to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality BI solutions.
Monitor and optimize the performance of BI tools and solutions, troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing enhancements as needed.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
Requirements -
Proven experience in a leadership role within a BI function, preferably in the computer software industry.
Strong technical skills in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
Proficiency in SQL and other programming languages commonly used in data analysis and BI.
Deep understanding of database management systems, data integration techniques, and ETL processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
