Testbourne is a high performing school, with students achieving consistently excellent results. In 2023, over 55% of students achieved a ‘strong’ pass in both English and Maths, with 15% of students achieving the top grades 9-7 in both of these subjects. A total of 90 grade 9s were achieved by our year 11s across their subjects in 2023.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an expert teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition;
  • be passionate aboutthe subject, teachingin a way thatengagesstudentsand challenges their thinking;
  • have a passion for learning and teaching and be committed toeffective teaching through reflective practice;
  • be forward thinking and keen to develop as a practitioner;
  • be educated to degree level in a Food-related subject and/or have relevant industry or teaching experiencein order to be able to teach challenging lessons so that students can reach the top grades in the subject;
  • be an inclusive practitioner, able to develop positive relationships, and with a desire to help all students, irrespective of their background, achieve their best.
