Job Description

Position Overview:

The VM Manager, Retail & Wholesale will have oversight of all visual merchandising across EMEA stores and wholesale accounts. This individual will collaborate with Marketing, Planning and the Retail and Wholesale teams in bringing a shared global vision to life - balancing regional impact. As an impactful visual and verbal storyteller, the VM Manager will be key in pioneering product performance across wholesale accounts and stores, whether through creative and strategic merchandising or advocating for the needs of the consumer when engaging internal business partners. Consumer perception will be at the heart of all decision making, driving brand vision with a view that all actions will positively impact KPI’s.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Direction

  • Take ownership and accountability for the final visual aesthetic, and its role in balancing the delivery of short-term commercial KPIs and long-term commercial strategy.
  • Use your keen eye for detail to maintain expectations among Store teams on visual excellence and standards.
  • Drive corporate priorities through strategic initiatives in Visual direction.
  • Analyze product performance and depth on an ongoing basis in order to inform and coach teams on in-the-moment merchandising. Offer on-hand support to the team whether virtually or in person.
  • Invest time in developing creative and insight-driven visual plans for seasonal floor flips, as well as plans designed to accelerate product diversification across ‘opportunity’ products and categories.
  • Empower, inspire, and nurture performance-development.

Partnership and Execution

  • Coordinate visual execution across a large number of stakeholders, including Store and Retail Leadership, Wholesale Partners, Commercial Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Planning and external parties, providing clear direction and guidance on expectation.
  • Be present and offer support in the execution of large-scale visual plans and projects including window installs and overnight floor flips.
  • Operate compliantly and with cost-effectiveness, managing timely upkeep of administration including invoice-processing, vendor set-up and expenses.

Insight-driven Strategy

  • Align VM with Commercial strategy, acknowledging the impact of product, distribution and visual storytelling on Brand health and perception.
  • Leverage consumer and product insight to influence Planning in securing consumer-centric assortments and influence Marketing throughout commercial marketing initiatives and tactics.
  • Acknowledge the holistic commercial or elevation needs specific to each store or account, leveraging your influence on product and visuals to accelerate convergence towards a Performance Luxury / Lifestyle positioning.
  • Seek visual and Brand consistency across accounts, allowing for diversification when appropriate to drive KPIs and corporate priorities.
  • Gather consumer insights and share them with cross-functional business partners to ensure that consumer-centricity is deep-rooted throughout the organization.

Engagement

  • Contribute to a positive store environment when visiting stores through effective communication, teamwork and partnership with VM, Brand Ambassadors and Store Management team.
  • Support and facilitate the training across Retail and Wholesale to ensure VM’s and Brand Ambassadors have the proper understanding of product and brand history.
  • Working together to build an effective way to communicate that enables us to share our ideas, inspire each other and hold each other accountable.

Let's Talk About You:

  • 3-5 years of Retail VM Management experience within a luxury/premium brand
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment, or an equivalent consumer-facing role
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional, cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to influence and secure buy-in on a vision
  • Commercially aware with a keen attention to detail
  • Creative and experimental, autonomous and self-motivated
  • Solution-driven, scrappy and entrepreneurial
  • Performance and insight-driven
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Fieldwork which may require overnights
  • Travel up to 25% of the time annually
