Keltbray Energy Health and Safety Manager

Keltbray Energy is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team in the South West of England, supporting the delivery of the SSE Distribution Framework. We are looking for a candidate with experience in the Energy Sector and relevant H&S Management experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Where unsafe working conditions are identified, the candidate must:
  2. Stop the works
  3. Agree and document suitable and safe solutions
  4. Responsible for managing and mentoring HSQE Advisors
  5. Ensure production of HSQE specific KPI information
  6. Active participation in internal/external meetings, forums, and working groups
  7. Assist the operational team with reviewing CDM documentation
  8. Assurance of process and working methods
  9. Take an active role in developing and promoting a positive HSQE culture
  10. Ensure compliance with standards and client requirements
  11. Undertake task analysis of risk assessment and method statements
  12. Provide support and advice for staff to promote sustainable practices
  13. Ensure timely closure of all requirements and findings
  14. Share lessons learned with the wider team
  15. Manage team resources effectively and economically
  16. Raise any issues to a higher level as necessary
  17. Provide required level and quality of HSE advice
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Understanding of working methods
  • Excellent listening behaviours
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft 365 and HSQE specific systems
  • NEBOSH Construction Level 3 – Level 6 (or equivalent)
