My client is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their Stoke-on-Trent-based team. In this role, you'll take the lead in architecting, deploying, and optimising Azure environments while championing performance, cost-efficiency, and security. Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative cloud solutions and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture: Design and deploy scalable Azure infrastructure aligned with best practices.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee Azure deployments, ensuring peak performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Automation: Develop scripts and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Security: Build robust, secure cloud environments and implement advanced security protocols.
  • Collaboration: Coach teams, mentor colleagues, and foster cloud expertise across the business.
  • Monitoring & Optimisation: Continuously improve system performance and uptime.

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven expertise in Azure cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and automation.
  • Skills: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps), and security best practices.
  • Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect Expert, or Security Engineer preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, mentoring capabilities, and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Clearance: Eligibility for SC clearance, with potential for UK Developed Vetting (DV).
