My client is part of an International chain of quality hotels.
As a Commis Chef or Junior CDP you will be reporting to the Head Chef assisting the brigade in the smooth running of daily operations.
Preparation of high quality food ensuring the highest standards are met at all times, in line with company regulations. Being a team player with a flexible nature to be able to assist colleagues and training chefs.
You will gain great experience as a Commis Chef in all function areas of a busy Hotel with banqueting and restaurant service.
5 shifts over 7, no split shifts
Uniform provided
Subsidised Taxi after 11pm and before 7am within 8 miles
Striving towards quality & consistency in a busy environment,
Maintain Health & Hygiene standards as company regulations dictate
Flexible, work in a team and be able to work on various sections within the kitchen.
Adaptable to a changing environment and be able to react with speed whilst maintaining standards, with a cool demeanour.
Minimum 1yrs in a Hotel / Catering environment
Previous catering experience cooking - essential
Previous experience in a similar role, or fast paced restaurant experience
Flexible approach as there will be a requirement to work on a shift basis, including evenings & weekends.
Passionate about the industry, with good knowledge of the Hotel industry.
Creative flair with a passion for progression to go from Commis Chef to Chef De Partie.
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
