We are working with our client who are a leading engineering and machining company based just outside of Newcastle in their search for a Quality Inspector with CMM experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned and stable engineering company on a permanent basis with long term progression opportunities and great benefits. Responsibilities:
- To read, interpret and understand 2D drawings from a range of customers and industries.
- Determining the programming requirements based on the drawing and engineering requirements, with specific focus on understanding Geometrics, Dimensions and Tolerances
- To assist in identifying and utilising the most effective and efficient method of checking components.
- Assure accurate component measurement via, correct CMM operation, programming, calibration and cleanliness.
- To perform 100% Inspection of components.
- Identification of non-conforming items via the company's NCR system and maintenance of inspection status.
- To ensure component traceability/identification is present and correct.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and maintained to a high standard.
- To ensure quality system procedures are being adhered to and are operating effectively.
- Preferably time served in an engineering discipline
- Able to programme and operate CMM machines
- Working in a machine shop or similar environment
- Long term stable role with progression
- Excellent training and development opportunities
