Valnet Inc. is looking for an NFL News & Features Editor for the website GIVEMESPORT.COM .

GIVEMESPORT is one of the world’s largest independent sports media publishers. It covers news, features, and interviews across a broad range of sports, from football and MMA to the NFL and NBA , catering its content to a global audience of more than 30 million fans each and every month.

We pride ourselves on delivering not just the scores, but the stories behind them. Our team of dedicated writers and contributors is committed to providing insightful commentary, thought-provoking analysis, and in-depth features that go beyond the surface of the game.

Expectations:
  • Contributing to the creation pipeline for NFL editorial content (news and features) by writing and editing articles on a daily basis
  • Fielding and generating compelling ideas from and for the writing team
  • Providing feedback to writers
  • Ensuring deadlines are met by you and the team
  • Enforcing article guidelines in accordance with SEO best practices and our style guide
  • Collaborating with the Leads to ensure stable operation and achievement of targets

Applicants must possess the following requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and deep passion for the NFL
  • Previous experience writing and editing for a sports publication
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices
  • Hard-working, results-driven, and able to react quickly
  • Experience managing and/or commissioning content (a plus)
  • Keen eye for spotting trending stories and how to market them across various social media platforms (a plus)
  • Video and/or image editing skills (a plus)
