Maintenance Engineer Derby £50,000per annum + O.T Permanent Shifts (4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights, 5 till 5) We are a leading food production company committed to delivering high-quality food products to our customers. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. We are currently seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Job summary: We seek a Maintenance Engineer with Multiskilled expertise to operate in a food production setting. The optimal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in both electrical and mechanical aspects and possess a Level 3 qualification in electrical and mechanical engineering. Job responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer: Conduct regular maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within our state-of-the-art food production facility. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless operations. Perform preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and longevity. Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety checks, maintaining a secure work environment. Collaborate closely with the maintenance team, ensuring all equipment is operational and efficient. Participate in equipment installations and upgrades as necessary, staying ahead of industry standards. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, minimising production downtime. Uphold company policies, procedures, and quality standards to maintain our exceptional reputation. Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer: 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer in food production or manufacturing. ONC/HNC or equivalent recognised apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Proficiency in pneumatics; knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
