Jnr Technical Superintendent – Permanent – IOW – Competitive salary
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but well established shipping company based on the Isle of Wight. The shore-based technical team work closely together to make sure the ships have everything they need to keep moving. This is an important role coordinating the technical team and ensuring that the ships are kept supplied, stored, and maintained in accordance with our Quality System (SMS). Also part of this role will be performing vessel surveys and safety audits (training will be provided).

Source and purchase ship stores for Company vessels, always striving for good value
Communicate regularly with the ships relating to spares and stores ordering, and keep them updated with progress with parts requests
Vessel surveys and safety audits
Develop relationships with chandlers, port agents, technicians, and local contacts as well as with local, national, and international suppliers

Pro-active and pre-emptive, always thinking ahead when planning maintenance/purchasing
Hold a full UK drivers license and be prepared to travel
