Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Hours: 4 On 4 Off 12 Hour Shifts (4 Days followed by 4 Nights)
Location: Ebbsfleet Valley Area - Commutable from Gravesend, Greenhithe, Strood, Rochester, Aylesford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Bromley, South Ockenden, Erith, Orpington, West Malling, Tonbridge and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their premium factories on the south side of the Thames in Kent. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Maintenance Engineers working in a fast faced environment. Working within this large company, you will have plenty of scope and opportunities to progress your career, up-skill and gain further training and qualifications - should this be of interest you. They have internal and external training to help people grow in such areas like management training, electrical training, mechanical training and more.
This is a multi-skilled environment with both Electrical or Mechanical biased Engineers working effectively together, sharing knowledge & experience to get the work done. So, whether you are Electrically or Mechanically biased this role is for you and will offer opportunities to improve your weaker discipline.

Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electrical & mechanical maintenance work across the factory and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side.
Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes diagnosing & troubleshooting breakdowns and machinery problems, together with undertaking planned preventative maintenance and project work too, such as new installations etc.

Requirements
A Maintenance or Service engineering background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.

Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications at NVQ/C&G Level 3 in mechanical or electrical.

Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase machinary, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems etc.

Are multi-skilled across electrical & mechanical - either bias is welcome - additional Electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level is very useful.

Good fault-finding skills.

Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a team.

Proactive work attitude and always keen to get stuck in.
