Teaching Assistant Additional Learning Needs and SEBD (Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Location - Caerphilly Pay rate – £84.50 - £100 per day (based on experience) Hours - Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm), school term time About us: PE Direct is the only specialist recruitment agency in South Wales dedicated solely to physical education (PE) and additional learning needs (ALN). This position is supporting a pupil with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) within a school and unit that prides itself on inclusivity and wellbeing successfully. Responsibilities:
  • Working within a small class to support pupils who have complex SEBD and additional learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils in enhancing self-esteem and social interaction skills.
  • Encouraging pupils to take pride in their achievements and celebrate them.
  • Supporting pupils to management their behaviour, emotions, and frustration.
  • Working closely as part of a team with other members of teaching staff.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with pupils in a similar environment and of a similar age within the last 3 years.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong rapport with pupils based on mutual trust and respect.
