Job Details of a Maintenance Technician
Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Production Shift Leader, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Possess strong fault-finding skills in electrical and hydraulic systems, including those with proportional and servo controls.
Ensure high standards of work quality and achieve first-time fixes.
Execute all preventive maintenance tasks as per the maintenance schedule, ensuring timely and complete performance.
Collaborate closely with the Shift Manager and Engineering Supervisor to meet production requirements with minimal disruption.
Assist and collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), contractors, and other external partn
Offer technical support and hands-on training to Shift Leaders and Operatives as needed.
Ensure adequate shift coverage during holidays.
Maintain detailed shift logs and complete thorough handovers at the start and end of each shift.

Person Specification of a Maintenance Technician
An engineering qualification is preferred, ideally at the ONC/HNC level, though relevant work experience will also be considered.
While experience in Injection Moulding is ideal, it’s not mandatory. Basic computer skills are desirable, with proficiency in Word and Excel being advantageous but not required. Familiarity with PLCs, and an understanding of SAP, Barco, and other production-related software is beneficial.
The ability to learn new software is essential.
