This is a role based in our new Soho Place office – opened in 2023 – in the heart of Central London and home to our Research Lab.
These include high-performance scale-out clusters, block storage, object storage and archival systems, all of which underpin the research and compute environment at G-Research.
As a Placement Year DevOps Storage Engineer, you will partner with Researchers, Software Engineers, Network teams and leading vendors, including Dell, VAST, HPE and Rubrik, to optimise workflows and resolve issues.
For students with strong coding expertise, there is also the opportunity to contribute to the team's development backlog, focusing on automation, customer-facing tools and observability enhancements.
Monitoring and troubleshooting events affecting platform health
We are seeking a motivated and capable student currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Mathematics or related degree programme with a placement (sandwich) year, graduating in 2028.
Interest in building and managing high-performance, scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions
Linux system administration experience
Proficiency in Python, or similar programming languages
Please note: due to our focus on converting top placement students to graduate roles, we can only consider those graduating in 2028
