DSP Engineer – Wireless

Location: North Hampshire, UK

Type: Full-time, Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Seniority Level: Mid-Level to Senior (Flexible based on the candidate's expertise)

DSP Engineer with skills in Wireless communications algorithm development and C++ software engineering required by stable, private owned, multinational company based in Hampshire. The DSP Engineer will work a company with over 80 years of history a beacon of innovation and excellence in wireless communications.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing software-based DSP for embedded systems, focusing on RF signal processing beyond the chip level. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about Bluetooth and various radio communication technologies (WiFi, IoT, UWB), offering the chance to delve into digital signal processing and algorithm development that shapes the future of wireless communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement DSP algorithms using MATLAB and C++, focusing on FFT, channel estimation, and filters within embedded systems.
  • Balance research and practical implementation, pioneering novel signal processing algorithms for next-generation technologies and standards.
  • Collaborate with a global team, contributing to projects that redefine industry standards.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in DSP algorithm development and implementation in embedded systems (not directly on chips).
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB and C++ for modeling and coding.
  • A solid understanding of PHY layer processing and a keen interest in wireless communication architectures.
  • A collaborative spirit, eager to learn and innovate within a team of experts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to tackling technical challenges.
