About the Role:
Sinara Consultants is actively seeking proficient, versatile, and curious application engineers to enhance our technical operations team. The position entails working beyond standard business hours, including late evenings or overnight shifts. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our mission-critical applications, delivering both primary and secondary application management support within our cloud-based environments, as well as providing third-line functional support for software applications to a variety of customers. The role is remote although you must be based in the UK.

Primary duties include:

  4. Resolving issues related to applications and environments.
  5. Analysing and prioritising incidents reported by customers.
  6. Conducting investigations to provide solutions or temporary workarounds.

Additional responsibilities encompass:

  6. Participating in application testing throughout the full test lifecycle.

Your essential skills:
You will possess experience in working during out-of-business hours shifts, focusing on maintaining cloud-hosted environments and software applications. Demonstrating a solid general knowledge of IT concepts along with an exceptional understanding of AWS deployments, and administration of containerisation tools and orchestration platforms is essential. It would be beneficial to have knowledge in:

  • Interpreting and troubleshooting log files
  • Terraform

Your attributes:

They should have the aptitude and dedication to rapidly acquire new technical abilities and assimilate fresh domain knowledge as necessary. While our operations are within the financial sector, prior experience in this field is not mandatory. Ideal candidates are naturally curious, collaborative team players, and problem solvers. They are self-driven, capable of independent initiative, and consistently consider the broader context and potential ramifications of the issues at hand. They take pride in their work, exhibiting exceptional attention to detail, coupled with proficient time management and organisational skills.

Career progression:
Industry knowledge training
This position is focused on cloud infrastructure specialisation, where you will be expected to evolve into a subject matter expert within the organisation. Comprehensive training will be provided as needed. Sinara will provide training on industry/domain-specific topics and applications.

What we offer:
Sinara offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes a profit-related bonus, 25 days of holiday, and a pension plan.

Working hours:
This position is full-time, requiring 37.5 to 45 hours of work per week and is available for remote work.
