The Director of Operational Processes is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient, standardised operational processes and frameworks that enhance organisational resilience, ensure regulatory adherence, satisfy compliance requirements, and drive continuous improvement across facilities in the EMEA region.

This role requires strong leadership in developing robust risk management and business continuity frameworks, implementing ITIL and ISO-aligned processes, and ensuring operational alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.

Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Director ensures that operational processes support business continuity, facility risk management, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and harmonise operational processes to enhance efficiency and comply with ISO across all facilities in the EMEA region.
  • Design and implement ITIL processes (incident, problem & change) to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement crisis management and business continuity plan for Operations
  • Responsible for Emergency Preparedness and Business continuity plans. Ensure dry runs and desktop training on BCP and emergency preparedness
  • Support continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational processes with business objectives and customer needs across the entire business.

Facility Risk Management:

Develop and implement a facility risk management process for Operations

  • Maintain a detailed risk & opportunities register documenting all identified risks, their potential impacts, and the likelihood of their occurrence
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including preventive measures, contingency plans, and emergency response protocols. Either the risk is mitigated or accepted by the business.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on operational performance, audit outcomes, and risk management activities.
  • Work closely with client service and delivery teams to ensure that client feedback is integrated into relevant processes and audits.
  • Partner closely with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Business management teams to align operational strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leading process improvement initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant certifications in process management or related field

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and improving operational processes within a large, multi-location organisation. Preferred experience from IT/Telecom or datacenter Operations

• Hands-on experience implementing ISO standards and ITIL processes across diverse business units or facilities.

• Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, client services, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) teams, to ensure operational alignment with business goals.

• Ability to develop and harmonize complex operational processes across multiple facilities, focusing on both efficiency and supporting compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, risk register management, and the development of preventive and contingency strategies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in another major European language is a definite plus.
