Our H & S Apprentice will be committed to developing their career and be equally committed to working in a fast-paced environment covering the responsibilities below: -
To assist with monitoring and auditing compliance with the SEC’s Health and Safety Policy and associated procedures.
To assist the Health and Safety manager to carry out on-site health, safety and fire inspections during all work activities and prior to events, reporting and taking action where required.
To support the maintenance of Health and Safety records, including staff training, Approved Contractors, Plant Operator, PPE issue, and statutory inspections.
To support the review of the Fire Prevention Strategy including, Fire Prevention Policy and Fire Action plan.
To support the administrative tasks for the Health and Safety Team, for example, report writing and collation, arranging meetings, drafting agendas and taking & circulating minutes.
To maintain accident statistics and monitor and report on accidental statistics, carrying out investigation and reporting on the more serious accidents, near misses and non-medical incidents.
To undertake and attain recognised Health and Safety Qualifications to include but not limited to NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, and other Fire Safety Training, as required.
